FAQs

Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions. If you do not find it, please, contact our support team.

The hydeyourhosting project was created as a response to the total censorship of the internet and social networks around the world.

What services do you provide?

We provide you with 1 service - we hide the real IP address of the website with our proxy server.
To hide their real IP when surfing the web, we use VPN. We do the same thing, but for websites.
This comparison is not technically correct, but it is true for the understanding of ordinary users without technical subtleties.

A more correct comparison is our service as a router. We just forward traffic.

Who are your clients? It seems to be a bit illegal. Who needs to hide their website address anyway?

Our customers are not criminals, but if the latter becomes clear to us, we have the right to refuse service unilaterally. However, this has not happened so far. Therefore, we can confidently assert that there are no criminals among our clients. All over the world, millions of people hide their IP address by using a VPN. Are they criminals? Of course not. Our clients can hide the real address of their hosting for several reasons:
- Constant complaints. People often complain about websites without reason, and owners have to maintain entire departments to respond to all sorts of complaints while fearing prosecution.
- Clients who want to make sure that their website visitors get exactly the information they have posted. We do not cache our clients' pages (and websites) and do not receive SSL certificates for them. Therefore, visitors to our clients' websites get exactly the data that the client has placed on their website. We can't see anything inside or replace it - we're just forwarding encrypted information. Not everyone works this way, right?
- An island of privacy and one's own opinion. In our world, people should have the right to privacy and their own opinions.
- Additional security. Our service also helps to protect your web server from direct DDoS attacks, open port scanning and searching for known vulnerabilities on your server, as the first hit is taken by our service.

There is a long list of such categories of clients who have decided to become our clients for one or another reason.

We do not interfere with our clients' business, we do not store or receive certificates instead of them, we do not decrypt passing traffic. We do not know the private data exchanged between the client's website/server and the website visitor. We are just like a router - we send data.

Which business categories and niches are your customers and which ones you don't work with?

Each country has its own legislation and frequently in one country something is criminalized, and in the other one it is allowed.
Our client can become the owner of any website and any kind of topic (including gambling, adult websites, etc.), except for a small list of exceptions:

● Illegal trafficking in human beings, drugs, weapons and other similar goods;
● child pornography;
● incitement to terrorism, violence, murder, etc.

Hideyourhosting may refuse service unilaterally if prohibited activities are detected on customers' websites.

What data about your customers do you keep? Can law enforcement or other authorities request data from you about your clients?

They can request it, but not receive it. We store only those client's data, which he/she entered in his/her account ( website address, real ip of the website) - these data are necessary for technical provision of our service (redirection of website traffic). As soon as the client deletes these data - we also delete them. But we still have: contact email (aka login to the cabinet - it's a temporary mail), password to enter the cabinet, start and end date of the paid tariff. There's no other data. There is no history of traffic forwarding. We do not collect or store this data. Please note that once the tariff ends, all information (including the start and end date of the tariff) is irretrievably deleted. Within 24 hours, an account with no tariffs included is also deleted.

How does it technically work? What do I need to do to get the service? Is it possible to choose an IP address?

You can select a country and we will provide you with a proxy from that country. You cannot select an IP address. If you have any other questions regarding technical implementation, please read the instructions in your account.

Is it possible to change the ip address?

Yes, you can do it 1x every month and it is included in the rate.

How can I make a payment?

We only accept cryptocurrency. We care about privacy and anonymity of our own and our clients.

Will a proxy server slow down the loading speed of a website?

Yes, but it will be almost imperceptible. Usually a proxy server adds 0.5 seconds to the download speed directly. But we advise you to always choose a proxy server location not far from the real place (not in the same country, but also not on another continent) of the website/server.
Examples of loading different websites from different locations can be seen here.

How much do your services cost?

On this page you can familiarize yourself with our tariffs. The tariff depends on the number of websites and dedicated proxy servers.

What is included in the tariff (subscription)?

The tariff includes traffic forwarding of the website or websites through a proxy server for the paid period. The amount of traffic for each tariff is limited to 20 tb per month.

What kind of websites can benefit from your services? On which cms?

Absolutely any kind. We forward traffic of any website/server and there is no difference for us.

Do you provide static or dynamic IP addresses? IPv4 or IPv6?

IPv4 Static.

How many addresses and which countries can you offer?

We do not publish data about the number of our clients, servers, ip addresses or anything else.

What kind of traffic and on what ports are you forwarding?

HTTP and HTTPS default to 80 and 443 ports respectively. But in fact each client for each website/project/application can choose any ports it needs.

Do you provide a paid or free SSL certificate for domains?

Yes, we can get SSL certificate for your website if necessary. Some of our clients independently obtain an SSL certificate.

Are you claiming that you don't see or store data, but only forward it?

That's right. We do not cache sites because... This requires enormous resources. We are not an CDN service with a large number of servers around the world. Our service is designed only to hide the IP address of website and nothing more.

How to sign up / log in to the website?

Select and pay the tariff, and we will automatically sign you up. You can change your login and password at any time.

I still have questions. How can I contact the support team via online chat?

Go to the Support page or there is a special Support section inside the account (for current customers) to contact the support team.
